We’re Austin and garrett baker. brothers. "the baker brothers" .. filmmakers, designers, and the founders of Baker Brothers.
Long before there were cameras, studio lights, and production schedules, there was Enchanted Forest. Our grandfather built the park, and as kids, we spent countless hours there while our mom worked late nights running the park. We learned early on how to make our own fun. We built things, told stories, and created worlds out of whatever we had around us. Looking back, that’s where it all started.
Garrett fell in love with design. Austin fell in love with film.After college, we combined those two passions and started Baker Brothers in 2016. We moved the business to Portland and spent six years helping build and support KEEN’s internal video and motion design departments on a global scale. Along the way, we partnered with brands like Nike and traveled throughout South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and beyond creating content for some of the biggest names in the footwear and outdoor industries. We helped brands like Redbull, & Simms Fishing create campaign assets across multiple seasons, delivering high-quality content at the speed modern companies demand.
And through all of it, we kept coming back to one question:
Why does creating great content have to be so complicated? and cost so much?
That’s where Ship & Shoot came from.
Ship & Shoot is our answer to the traditional agency model. It’s a simpler, more efficient way for brands to create exceptional content consistently. Companies ship us their products,
and we handle the rest from creative direction and production to photography, video, and delivery.
As Ship & Shoot evolved, so did our team.
What started as two brothers with a camera grew into a streamlined production machine built around this approach. Today, we have talented editors on staff, along with trusted grip and gaff teams who help bring every production to life and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.No massive onboarding process.
No building an internal production department from scratch. No unnecessary layers.
Just a team that’s spent years learning how to create high-level work efficiently.
At our core, we’re still those kids running around Enchanted Forest curious, resourceful, and excited to make something out of nothing. We believe some of the best ideas come from rolling up your sleeves, figuring things out, and getting to work.
That’s the spirit behind everything we do.
